April Dirty Thirty Day 11 – DuClaw Euforia

Today’s April Dirty Thirty craft beer review is on…

DuClaw Euforia

DuClaw Euforia

DuClaw Euforia Brown Ale

Critical Information:

  • 4.8% ABV
  • 22 IBU

My Experience:

– POUR

I only had about 30 minutes to get this cooled down. Poured from bottle into mug. It has a transparent brown-amber color with an off-white head.

– SMELL

Toffee, maltiness, chocolate and nutty.

– TASTE

It’s a lot lighter than I expected, especially for a brown ale. The toffee and malt really come through. It’s paired with just a mild bitterness from the hops. I think it works pretty well together. The carbonation is just right. There’s some coffee flavors mixed in also.

– FOOD PAIRING

This feels like a dessert beer to me. It would go down well with some coffee cake.

– OVERALL THOUGHTS

It’s been a busy week so I’m keeping this one short. I like Euforia. It doesn’t blow me away but I’ll surely get it again. Phew… this month long reviewing is starting to take a toll on me but I will prevail!

Score: 6/10
